What does the future hold for free viewing?

Hi all
I would like to hear what you think of the future! Especially with regards to equipment/systems.
I think that our old receivers such as the Technomate; Humax etc. are on their way out. The future is Broadband connection/Card sharing, but that is just my opinion.
The thing about our hobby, however, is that something turns up when least expected. As one group of providers change their encryption another group is cracked,or brought out into the open, so it is not easy to forcast. Profit making by the few will determine part of what happens in the future.
I have the TM7100HD at the mo and I'm not sure what to get next. I will, however, not change anything for a few weeks/months to see what transpires.
What do you think lad's ?

Agree that the older stb's are at the end of their lives but i think there will be the odd cam out now and again that will open a small package at a price.
CS does seem to be the way to go but as encryptions are becoming more secure the providers are looking for ways to stop or at least make CS more difficult.
Also i think it won't be too long before the cam emu coders start charging for their work, as you say "Profit making by the few will determine part of what happens in the future. " and its been that way for quite a few years.
Just have to hope that the few good guys out there keep working on solutions m8.
