Aprilia has officially confirmed the expected news that 2009 British Superbike champion Leon Camier will ride alongside Max Biaggi in its factory World Superbike team next season.

The 23-year-old dominated this year's BSB championship, winning a record 19 of the 26 races and taking 22 podiums for Airwaves Yamaha to claim an end-of-season advantage of 136.5 points.

The Stalker is back - as Chris Walker prepares to renew his duel with former sparring partner and title adversary Neil Hodgson, having inked a last-minute deal to return to the British Superbike Championship grid in 2010
Chris Walker has sealed an eleventh-hour deal to take his place on the 2010 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship grid for the Brands Hatch curtain-raiser over Easter weekend – where he will renew battle with erstwhile arch-nemesis Neil Hodgson.

Ten years ago, Walker and Hodgson duelled it out tooth-and-nail for BSB title glory, indulging in some epic on-track scraps and controversial clashes that have gone down in the annals of the championship's history, with 'Stalker' being cruelly denied the laurels when his engine failed with just three laps left to the chequered flag in the Donington Park finale.

Whilst neither might perhaps feature quite so high up the order again a decade on, they will both be in the field, with Walker having inked a late agreement to ride a privately-run, ex-Michael Rutter TT Suzuki GSX-R1000 prepared by respected tuner Ray Stringer

“I'm delighted to be on the grid again this year,” enthused the recently-turned 38-year-old, speaking to the official BSB website. “Ray came along with the offer of this Suzuki at the very last minute, and it was the perfect opportunity for me.

“We've missed out on testing, but we will be getting more competitive as the season goes on. There's a big chance we'll get a significant improvement in our machinery within a few rounds – but even with the bike we've got, we're not giving anything away.” good luck chris.

Andrew Pitt is to become the latest world championship racer to switch to the MCE British Superbike Championship after penning a deal to join Motorpoint Yamaha for the upcoming Mallory Park round.

The experienced Australian is a double World Supersport Champion, but has also one victory to his name in the World Superbike Championship, while he has credits in MotoGP with the factory Kawasaki team.

Pitt began the year riding in the World Superbike Championship with burgeoning Reitwagen BMW outfit, but the Austrian team folded three rounds in leaving him on the sidelines.

He will take the place of Ian Lowry, who in turn had only joined the team as a replacement for the retired Neil Hodgson.

"I have been following the championship and I am looking forward to the new challenge of racing in BSB. It has been a tough season for me so far but I am hoping that this can be the turning point."

Pitt is the latest in a long line of Australian riders to sample racing in the British domestic series, while he follows in the footsteps of former world championship riders including Ryuichi Kiyonari and Josh Brookes.
