I used to work on a harrier air base as a coms engineer and was out near the runway getting some kit out of my van when two pairs of harriers came weaving down the runway doing mock pursuits just feet off the ground - it certainly made me duck I can tell you!

I remember being at Mildenhall one year and a B1B Lancer came in for a low fast run. Instead of going down the runway like he should of he got his alignment wrong and went down the spectator line at about 200 feet above the ground giving it plenty of after burner on the way. Made everyone jump even though they could see him coming!
 
I think he got a good ticking off when he landed, but it was a good display!! Wink
