What will you do with your extra second? (Read 3161 times)

Steve (Offline) Administrator Posts: 6073	What will you do with your extra second? Dec 31^st, 2008, 11:14am Apparently, we are getting an extra second this year! 'A leap second' because the earth's spin on it's axis is slowing down. Does that mean I'm a second older or younger than I think I am?

Reply #2 - Jan 2^nd, 2009, 3:32pm Not sure about sat-navs, but anything using multiplexed frequncies like mobile phones and digital TV's must be synchronised perfectly or we would just get mush. I think I just used my extra second thinking about the extra second.....!
