there`s a list of all hd chans on kingofsat
Code:
http://en.kingofsat.net/hdtv.php
Just depends what card/cam etc you have 2 decode them.
i`ve got mine on a fixed dish 28e so i can only get bbc,itv & luxe tv in hd but if it was motorized then i should with a diablo 2.3 be able 2 get all hd on thor(conax) with the correct settings.(as i can with my humax 2000 with diablo)
Don`t know about other sats as i don`t bother with them, never moved dish off thor after it was open.

Oh well hear goes, it turned up today, instruction book in German!! downloaded the English version from the web site, loaded up and cant find channel 5 (yet) but most others appear to be there. Inserted cam and it recognised that ok, set the diseq 1.2 up and set 28, then went to old Astra at 19 east by manually moving the dish, did a scan and got channels, saved. went to go back to 28 and...........nothing, fcucking dish didn't move, so manually went back to 28 degrees, saved again, then went to 19 degrees again, nothing, fcucking dish didn't move, I can move the dish manually but it wont do it automatically, so gave up, ate tea, swore several times, had a row with the wife, now sitting and sulking.
I'll try again tomorrow when I'm in a better mood.
Always seems to happen to me, nothing is ever easy and straight forward.

Well mine is on a fixed dish but just had a quick look @ the settings 4 motor & it looks straight forward.
Right you`ve gone into menu, installation, antenna setup right, have you gone to positioner setup & set it @ DISEqC 1.2 for your motor then pressed red button 2 save ? Did you then press OK on remote 2 go into the diseqc 1.2 menu & set your motor up there ?
With the looks of it you have 2 setup the east west limits etc before it will work right from what i can make out.
My setup isn`t straight forward 2 get @ steve or i would connect it up 2 my motor dish & check it out properly 4 you m8.
Sorry i can`t be of more help
H.

@H, lol mate, sorted thanks, my fault and you were spot on, once I'd set the Diseq 1.2 etc I hadn't noticed the save!!! I'm so used to pressing OK on the Echostar all these years to save I'd done the same on the Fortec, have put a post it note on the screen
'H Says Don't Forget to Save!
'
deffo aint got 5 tho, so I'll have to do an update by the looks of it
cheers me old mate

Hi mate, still struggling to get other sats, I do all the saves and manually move it to the sat I want, get the list and save, push the sat button to go back to 28 east and nothing, I also have the transponder loaded for channel 5 but still aint got it, I'll get used to it eventually but I have to say it's giving me the hump at the moment.

I've set limits, stored everything, it just refuses to move dish automatically, it's fine if I move it in manual mode, just wondering if it's not compatible with my V-Box, which converts diseq 1.2 to voltage. I'll have a play for the rest of the day, if I get no luck it's going back to Maplins.

I'm really dissapointed with this unit, I had high hopes, the picture quality was good but it would not move the dish no matter what I did, it would move east or west if I did it manually, but after setting it and storing it, no movement.
I called Fortec in the UK only to get a recorded message telling me to send an email, which I did, but I've heard nothing. At £160 I'm not prepared to keep it as a stand alone unit just for Freesat.
Have read through a few forums and it seems there are more faulty units out there than there are good ones.
Called Maplin and they are picking it up Friday and I'm getting a full refund.
I will get another multi sat but rest assured my friends, it wont be a Fortec

As a foot note to the above, I never got a reply from Fortec, which I think is very poor, not even an acknowledgement. Maplins never replied to my emails either, I sent several regarding the refund which I paid by paypal and had to involve them to get my money back, which doesn't say a lot for Maplins.
I'm now waiting for the new Echostar HD which is due late Feb/March.
