hi not a newbie?
Aug 25th, 2008, 8:25pm
thank you steve for keeping me a member of your forum and sending me a    recent email
its a been long time since i started up any satellite system
and all my stuff is laying around unused
my last system was a early technomate 9100 and it mostly got on my nerves
not really the box more the software i stuck on it .the channel list was allways unstable
i never got into to card sharing when the emu scene seemed to be dying off
but my sat system, gave me alot of pleasure, i used to like getting the whole thing set up nicely
but that was not so easy on the tm
i could get it to go ok
but it would not go a week with some sort of drama
and in the end i gave up and got a v*rg*n cable box
to keep her indoors happy
can anyone kindly update me on the current sat scene
and thanks again to steve
a tec junky/fool

Hi resistor
First of all I want to say "welcome back" to steve's forum.
A lot has changed over the last few months. Where do I start!!!!  We now have a new cam ver.  called the Diablo ver. 2.3 this gives you virtually all the conax chans on Thor 1W and is the only way to get them. Some say it was a con but I NOW think that it was a good purchase. We have Premier on 19.2 which is very good. We often get loads of naughty chans (some with biss keys) some last for quite a long time others may not last very long, and many updates for various receivers. All in all, we are not doing too bad!! 30W has gone down hill at the moment but with Thor; many new HD chans on various satellites; 13E and 19.2 not forgetting chans on 9E ;10E ;16E,;28.2 and 4.8E we can't complain.
I don't know about the TM9100 and I have never got into "Card sharing".
All in all, I am very happy with my TM6900HD receiver. Things still can happen/change over-night, our hobby still can be frustrating but! I enjoy the challange.
Best of luck.

Hi there and welcome back to the forums
The 9100 is a good box with the right image on it!
It works well for cardshare and as keith said with the right cam/softcams it can open up quite a lot of stuff!
If you get if up and running again and want to try a cardshare drop me a line and I'll explain how it all works.

Welcome back m8,
don't give up on the TM9100, after a steep learning curve I love mine. Stability  is not a problem with the newer images - Currently running UR013.
Let me know if you get stuck and want to give it another go,
