How do I print 6x4 sheets of photo paper on R300

Hiya all,
Could someone please tell me how to print photos on 6x4 photo paper on my Epson r300. I have to use A4 sheets of paper as when I insert 6x4 sheets it either comes straight through and no print or it prints in one part of the 6x4 sheet?
How would I set my printer up in a step by step form please
Thanks all for any help.
All the best.
Rob.

Hi m8, not got this printer but i thought you go to - start-settings-printers and faxes, right click on your printer and select "printing preferences".
There should be a paper tab where you can select paper size and type.
Like i've said not got this model but i've always used epson printers and every one has this sort of set up, could be wrong though.
BTW thats using XP Pro.

Hi Capper,
I use the Epsom software that came with the printer, it's called photoquick or something like that - just follow about 4 steps and away you go.
The program is on the PC upstairs so let me know if you need more details.

Thanks for that glovepot,
I think adobe photoshop album starter edition comes up as the default, unfortunately when I bought my printer from a computer fair, it did not have any software with it.
Thank you for your reply.
Regards Rob.

I have the Epson R200 as my second printer which is similar.
I just cut the photo in photoshop to 6 x 4 (crop to size) then print with preview.
Set the paper size to 6 x 4 and it should work.
Rarely use this now as I had a problem getting the colours correct but it turned out to be a computer and not printer problem.
You can get a preview version of photoshop that will work for nearly a month on trial as it were. Its brilliant to use.
