Me again, is it possible to download a vid from you tube and store on my computer or burn it to disc?
written in easy to understand language if it's possible to do, it's me don't forget

I found the video file in temp internet files but it's not a recognisable file format, any ideas.
only reason I want to do it is I want to send someone a couple of vids and they don't own a computer

There is a program i have,which i got from here sometime ago.its called You tube grabber.not sure if you can burn to disk though? Try searching on goggle? another one to try is FLVRECORDER.I think you can download a trial version of this.Again type flvrecorder into goggle.

the files are .flv steve & need 2 be converted 2 play on a dvd player.Will see if i can sort you out something 2 convert the files & put it somewhere safe on here

Ps if the files you have are .flv then no need 2 d/l as they will be the same

Thanks H, you tube grabber worked a treat mr_archie, I now have the file but as H says it's .flv, so need to convert it.

have you got sorted haga i use mediacoder and you need a xvid codec installed its free on google m8 hope this help's pip

I'm downloading a programme as we speak that say's it does it all (super) I wont get chance to try it till tomorrow so I'll report back as soon as I've tried it, thanks for all your imput guy's, I knew I could rely on you all

Hi,
great read as I was interested in downloading videos off utube awhile back but gave up as I couldn't suss out how to, thanks boys.
After further reading up and trying different sites I've come across this site which I found good for downloading and maybe of help to you all,

just do as it says ps don't forget to rename files to FLV
