Can't get Sky 28.2
Jun 24th, 2005, 6:18pm

Right... I have tried for 4 hours 2day to get a signal from it.
had a signal from 13deg thru to 23deg (fluctuated like mad on 23 (54-94%).
Was in Sueca near Valencia with a 85cm dish. i know it won't get the majority of channels but surely i should have had something! Roll Eyes

Grundig receiver, 0.6 & 0.3 LNB tried and as said 85cm dish.

help me before i go mad, please.

Your best bet would be the 2B south beams, the elevation of the dish for 28.2° where you are is 36°

The dish azimuth should be 139.3°e (relative to true north), 141.86°e (relative to magnetic north)

Hope that helps a bit, if you need more info look at our satfinder page

i worked my way down the satellites from 13deg E adjusting as i went to eventually 36deg and -3odeg for the LNB (as you look at the sat turn the LNB to the right, is that right?

Got nothing. Frustrated and not sure what to do.

Did i get it right or not?

Hoppo undecided

Sounds like it, but I tend not to adjust the lnb unless i really have to.

I think from what you're saying that either your dish isnt following the arc properly, there's an obstruction that is blocking 28.2 from your dish or dish size is too small.

You can get an estimate for dish size at http://www.astra2d.com/spain.htm
