how about a separate forum for all the transponder news and frequency changes etc.
there are a few guys doing quite a bit of work keeping us up to date, but half the time their posts get lost in the digital bits section.
don't know how much work this would involve for steve but it would be good to be able to go straight to the info you need.

Not a bad idea, we could change the use of the DIY forum, I had high hopes for that one but it never gets used, we are willing to try anything so will go with what the members want, anyone else think it's a good idea?

I think that it would be a good idea, if it is possible.
I often check what has been changed, and to have it consolidated would allow ppl to check back. Not sure what you mean by a separate forum though, or is that what I would call "Another heading" within Steve's forum?
I do thank those that work so hard to keep us updated.
Go for it if it is possible!

It is very possible m8!
If there are enough people interested in a seperate section for transponder news/feeds etc I will add it to the forums.
Steve.

I think it's a good idea and as Haga said, the DIY forum hasn't
really caught many members attention, so a change could be in order.

as this is mainly a SAT forum then we should be looking at moving regular sat information into an easy found location. The DIY forum has little or no use to date, so those questions could go in the lounge.

How about adding another forum which covers 'other encryptions' like @skycrypt, PowerVU, RAS, etc?

Steve it was talked about a bit a go but nothing has been done.
So if you are in the mood & it can be done, what about receivers ???
A different section 4 different receivers, only the most common then do a section 4 all other receivers.

@ Steve
Like your idea for other encrytions, but think that the receivers should stay as it is, to many sub cats may detract from the exchange of info. for example a hummax or sammy owner may never look in dreambox forum, so would not learn anything about other receivers or problems, this would not increase his knowledge to pass on.

PS look forward to seeing your mush on chat night.
