 How; why; where and by whom m8?...... Microsoft?  
 
Mind you, I think Microsoft have been doing checks ever since Win XP came out, if not before..... Be interested in more info if you have it.

Hi m8,the program is supposed 2 get keys 4 sat providers,click on it while on the net & it checks sites 4 keys(well that is what it supposed 2 do i think undecided)

                 it is a program i have never used, and I think Invalid your correct mate.....it's one of these bits of soft that updates the numbers everyday or whatever.
 The story doing the rounds is it takes note of your ISP and system details and reports back to wherever.....the wherever is the ? mark.
 One guy (German) has been squealing about it doing him in as he was into the new N*agra stuff.....now you know guys.. undecided
