Depends on what you want to do!

There are plenty of linux boxes about, dreambox, vu, openbox and their clones.

You can pick up a decent dm800 clone for £150 from ebay

@ Steve

Cheers for your reply, much appreciated.

I am just looking for a receiver to work outside of the uk, where I am I can get a few Channels Sky News not BBC1 & 2, ITV, Ch4 ect but I
can receive the red button Channels, I am using an Echostar  DBI-2110 2Ci Viaccess with a 1mtr dish, so I am looking for something on the
same lines, I would liked to receive the major five channels but I think I need a least a 1:5mtr dish.

Are you in Spain by any chance? ;)

Any box should do the trick, the important bit will be how big is the dish?

You're going to need at least a 1.5m dish to get a reasonable signal and a really good LNB on the end of it!
