hi Capper

You need to install the EMU 3.7 the correct way or it does not work.

Emu need for first use:
1) Load Sammy Revolution FW to Box
2) Turn OFF back box (for 5 min *Important)
3) Turn ON box
4) Load Caidbuffer with Caid editor to box remember to clear caid first
5) Load Keybuffer use Editor 54cw
6) Turn OFF Box with remote (save data to box)
7) Now Emu ready for use........

Use crusiers Bin file as they are already updated with the AESdbase.
you will find all on paps site

You only need these files to update the stored Keys in the EMU.
1.Aesdbase 3.9_7.9.2006

2.Decrypt File 3.9_7.9.2006 Fix to Rv3.7

you need 2 use aes converter v1.1 2 convert the Aesdbase file into a ram bin file 2 load on your sammy so i`ve read, not upto date with sammy m8,
or do as Dave said d/l a ready made bin file.

Whoaaaaa,

First guys thanks for your replys.

And Gonaway m8 this is a bit over my head, could you tell me a little bit more bout what software is needed and where to get it and a step by step staging. It looks like in your previous post that it is step by step but me I am soooooo thick.

Also I have never touched these caid lists thingys the only thing I done with the sammy was when I progged the box ang got the multis etc exit to get caid up and press the pg + - keys and that was it.

Cheers again for your help though.

Thank you very much for your patience.

Regards Rob.

Capper

look in Uploads anything else section for required files.

You will also have to download from paps site the following:-

Samsung_Rv_Ram_010906._by_cruiser.zip ( 2.53k )

Dalen_EMU_Rv_3.7_TPS_O.K.zip

1. set sammy on free to air channel on hotbird
2. power of sammy at back for 5 to 10 mins
3  power on and load EMU 3.7 WITH SEMCO or Hyperterminal
4. open caid editor and tick wipe caid (do it 3 times)
5. load laid list in editor remove tick from wipe and upload new caid list (do it 3 times)
6. switch to standby for 10 seconds
7. open Bin editor and and upload cruiser bin file 1 sep (do it 3 times)
8. switch to standby
9. switch to TPS or Multi channel.

give it time to update

Hi again gonaway my m8

Got all that in last post on this thread but what do I need to do with these files or progs whatever they be.

1.Aesdbase 3.9_7.9.2006

2.Decrypt File 3.9_7.9.2006 Fix to Rv3.7  BTW the sammy is not connected to the internet.

And also where to find the most up to date caid list and ram bin.

Hi Capper

Start at the begining

Theres quite a few things here to do and explain :o

The new EMU 3.7 revolution has a built in autoroll function which stores AES keys (the things that change every 15mins on TPS) these are changing weekly, because of this you need to update the EMU with the latest keys (updated complete EMU's are also available quite quickly after a change)

Just for info
The AES database is a list of all known keys and works in conjunction with AES direkt.  AES direkt is software that you run on the PC, while connected to the Sammy, which loads the appropriate key as it is required and checks the net for unknown keys when it does not have the correct one in the database.  No use to you, but the database is as it has all the known keys at a given point.

There is a piece of software which converts text database files into the bin files required for the AES direkt software (and vice versa) called AESCONVERTER (the latest database usually comes as a text file so you need to convert it to a bin to use)

Back to what you need to know:
There is also a program called Sammy_FW AES_Editor this soft allows you to open the EMU 3.7 bin file and update it with the latest keys. You load your latest emu bin in the top box and the latest update file like Decrypt File 3.9_7.9.2006 Fix to Rv3.7 in the bottom box. there are two diferent types of file available for this 'decrypt' and 'encrypt' depending on which one you loaded select that type with the radio button.  This creates a new EMU bin file, it puts that file in the folder where you loaded the 'encrypt/decrypt file from (or wherever you want if you navigate to a diffrent folder at the prompt), and thats the one you load to the Sammy using hyperterminal in the conventional EMU update way.

so quickly to do what you need to

install 'Sammy_FW AES_Editor '

start it up and load the EMU 3.7 bin file in the top box

in the bottom box load the 'Decrypt File 3.9_7.9.2006 Fix to Rv3.7'

click apply

save the resultant file 'Samsung_DSR9500_Rv_New.bin' (this is the default name given to the new file) wherever you want (but remember where it is !)

Load this new (EMU) file to the sammy with hyperterminal

When you go to a TPS channel it will take between 2 and 5 mins for colours to appear, be patient, after that it will be ok assuming you have all the latest keys loaded

You also need to load the latest conventional Ram.bin files (eg cruisers) using software 'DSR_9500_EMU_Ed54_CW' the latest Ram bin files are diffrent so make sure you have this exact version or it wont work.
You will have used this before, remember to send an Empty Ram first, off with remote and back on, then the new Ram (uncheck empty ram box first) and off with remote for 10 secs then back on to save. Also remember to have it on FTA channel. Think you said you had already loaded the latest so you should be OK for this bit.

The only other problem you might have is not having the latest CAID list  in the sammy. In this version of the EMU the firmware is diffrent and if you dont have the correct caids it wont work.

You could try what i've explained up to now and if you don't get colours I can explain the caid thing to you and guide you through it.

It seems very complicated and it took me ages to figure it all out at first but once you get to know it it's quite easy and it works peretty well when it's all sorted - usually just an EMU update a week keeps it going.

Have a go and let me know  :o

Blade ;)

update: Have explianed the Caid thing 2 posts down ::)

Capper just saw your reply on upload

You might not have the caids done properly

i have had a problem before because the new caid files were not in the same directory as the editor, so to save any greif put them in the same directory before loading, also if the new caid list file name is too long it sometimes wont load shorten it to CAID_LIST.caid

It's important to get the sequence right

put the sammy on FTA channel

Switch off the sammy with remote, then at the back

you must leave it off for at least 5 mins to remove the caids from the memory.

start the caid editor

check the clean caid box

after 5 mins switch on the box at back and then with remote

click write to write empy caid file to sammy

when complete switch off with remote and back on

use 'load file' to select the latest caid file

uncheck the 'clean caid ' box

(just to check the file is loaded, you should have yellow text in the left window Pos: 1, Pos: 2, etc click on one of them and you should get the five windows on the right with yellow codes in them)

click write

when complete switch off with remote and back on

that should be the caids fixed.

let me know how you get on

Blade ;)

Capper.

re: your reply above - you will not see anything in the right hand boxes unless you click one of the yellow idents in the left window, if you still dont see anything there must be a problem with the caid file.
