2.00pm  Monarch of the Glen A rare and valuable barrel of whisky causes discord on the estate, with Archie, Hector and Kilwillie each having his own idea on how best to dispose of it, and the pending appointment of a Head Ranger does little to clear the air. 12.05pm  Dodge City (PG) 1939 Upright citizen Errol Flynn arrives in the infamous frontier town to find that cowboys and rapscallions rule the roost — and is so shocked by the plight of the beleaguered residents, he decides to take the job of sheriff and rid the area of bad guys. As difficult as his task is, he still finds time to do his best to sweep local girl Olivia de Havilland off her feet, but she's not so keen on the idea. Classic stirring Western, also starring Ann Sheridan, Bruce Cabot, Frank McHugh and Alan Hale (888)  

2.00pm  Behind the Scenes: Grand Prix — Challenge of Champions The direction and cinematography of John Frankenheimer's racing drama, which stars James Garner and Toshiro Mifune. The movie can be seen next  

2.10pm  Grand Prix (PG) 1966 Oscar-winning, high-octane drama from director John Frankenheimer, about the lives and loves of a circle of racing drivers as they engage in a tense battle both on and off the track. James Garner, Eva Marie Saint, Yves Montand and Toshiro Mifune are among the top-notch cast (888)  

5.15pm  Speedway (U) 1968 Elvis Presley stars as a cash-strapped stock-car racer who is pursued by attractive tax inspector Nancy Sinatra. One of the king's trashiest offerings, this romantic musical has little to offer audiences — even the fast cars fail to get pulses racing. Gale Gordon, Bill Bixby, Carl Ballantine and Ross Hagen also star  

7.00pm  Marlowe (PG) 1969 Down-at-heel private eye Philip Marlowe is hired to find a girl's missing brother, and uncovers a trail of murder and blackmail involving a gangster and his TV star mistress. Adaptation of Raymond Chandler's The Little Sister, starring James Garner as the eponymous detective, alongside Gayle Hunnicutt, Bruce Lee and Rita Moreno (888)  

9.00pm  Kelly's Heroes (PG) 1970 American soldiers inadvertently discover the whereabouts of a fortune in Nazi gold — leading to an explosive climax as they go behind enemy lines to get their hands on the bullion. Exciting but uneven World War Two adventure with some great action sequences, starring Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Donald Sutherland and Harry Dean Stanton  

11.45pm  Soylent Green (PG) 1973 Chilling sci-fi thriller set in the overpopulated New York of 2022, starring Charlton Heston as a cop who links a murder with the mysterious synthetic food fed to the populace. Director Richard Fleischer seems to lose his way in the middle, but it's worth staying tuned for the ending. The strong support cast includes Edward G Robinson, Leigh Taylor-Young and Chuck Connors (888)  

1.30am  The Biggest Bundle of Them All (PG) 1968 A small-time crook and a gang of enthusiastic amateurs make the mistake of trying to kidnap a legendary crime boss in Naples. Comedy caper, starring Robert Wagner, Raquel Welch, Edward G Robinson and Godfrey Cambridge (888)  

3.35am  Joe: The Busy Body (PG) 1972 An unassuming TV scriptwriter finds himself in a tricky situation when he accidentally kills a blackmailer — leaving him desperately trying to stay one step ahead of the law as he disposes of the corpse. Rib-tickling French comedy, starring Louis de Funes, Bernard Blier, Claude Gensac and Michel Galabru  

5.00am  Postman's Knock (U) 1962 Gentle comedy about a conscientious rural postman whose efficiency earns him a transfer to London, where he foils a gang of crooks. Spike Milligan, Barbara Shelley and Wilfrid Lawson star
