Title: HAS THIS COUNTRY GONE INSANE?
Post by Hokey on Feb 10th, 2004, 5:32pm

I hate to say it m8s, but I believe it has. The UK spent two weeks talking about a bunch of Z "celebrities" and nothing else. Oh, sorry, there was the Hutton report...Zzzzzzzzzzz.. ;D
Going back to I am a Chronic Loser, Get Me A Telly Job, I reckon Radio 5 is nuts. I was tuning in last night and heard a news flash. God, I hope no more terrorism..
No, it was who the winner of the show was. I should be thankful it wasn't a serious news flash, but please m8s, what is this country on when it breaks radio programming to announce the winner of an opposition's TV programming.
And if you're wondering...nope, I never watched the show. ;D
Hokey. ;)

Clearly, you think not. Unless you're too shy to comment. ;D

first time I noticed your post Hokey m8.

It's a sad world we live in if a national radio station stops their programming for a 'I'm a celeb' newsflash ::)

One of the main problems with the BBC of recent times is a belief that it has to compete against more consumer interested providers, this applies particularly Radio.
Thus it has lost its objectivity and now presents what it feels we will listen to.
Investigative journalisam is a fine thing but not for a public channel.
Hutton exposed the extent of the rot,I think I mean rot,in more than one sense.
If you dont like Bush,Blair, embryo research, genetically modified food, the three in one vaccine, war, conjestion charges then Radio 4 is for you!!

Hi, m8s, I tell people about that Radio 5 newsflash on the Matthew Bannister show and people think I am joking. No, I am not.
Barmy. ;D
Hokey. :)
PS. I think the reality TV bubble is bursting. Channel 5 are only getting around 200,000 viewers for Back to Reality, starring Nick Bateman and Jade Goody. Gawd blimey... ::)
