Title: BT Wireless Networking Voyager 2000 Post by capper2824 on Dec 22nd, 2003, 4:12pm Hello all, Can anyone tell me where I can purchase The BT Voyager 2000 + BT Wireless Adapter USB + BT Wireless PCMCIA Adapter please. I have looked at BT homepage but to get theses 3 products would cost over £200. I am not sure if this is a good price or not but could do with a cheaper option. Also is this an easy setup to achieve? Thanks all. Rob |

Title: Re: BT Wireless Networking Voyager 2000 Post by crobin57 on Dec 29th, 2003, 1:53pm Hi Capper You do realise that this is old techonogy it will be 802.11b 2.4GHz, 11 Mbps Data transfer rate. Currently in the shops is 802.11g they say it's 5x faster than the above but in reallity 3x faster would be more accurate. I have the 802.11b broadband performance on laptop is very good seems to be no difference. But transfering data between the 2 can be quite slow but it works ok. Reasons for low price is it is old technology. Advice go into PC World and look at your options, get someone over to explain the pro's and con's. Then make your decision and then go buy on internet for cheap price. ;D |
