Title: Sammy on a continuous roll
Post by capper2824 on Nov 7th, 2003, 10:53pm

Hi All

Can someone tell me whats wrong. When I press remote control to change channel, the sammy continuously scrolls through the channel listing until I press exit where it stops and the channel comes on.

This is the same with the menu screen, this also scrolls until you stop it with the exit key.

If I press the number of the channel say 11 it stays on this but the remote is very slow to respond to anything.

Please help one of you kind people.

Rob

It must be that firmware you downloaded m8.
I think it`s time you took the plunge & put the EMU firmware on your sammy.

Hello again

It seems to be (and I am very much hoping) the batteries in the remote.

How I found this out was when I stood up and walked towards the system, the remote would operate correctly.

Anyway changed batteries and all seems well. Strange why it should scroll through the channels though.

Regards Rob.

;DCapper mate,
you may be right......my other half went into a panic screaming up to me this sat sytem is going crazy.......she had only lumped a box of groceries onto the top of the remote.....by the time I got to it, I had a black screen......had to re-install the emu, etc....thankfully all is back the way it was.
I would agree with our brother invalid.....the emu is hard to get past......brilliant stuff.... ;D

Hi m8's,

I think the problem is your better halves are replacing the batteries in your remotes with the worn ones in their special toys. ;D You must gain control of them guys. ;D
